5 mile run in memory of Mark Higgins

Michelle Caulfield, a dear friend of Mark Higgins who sadly passed away last year, is organising a low-key 5 mile run in his memory with a suggested donation for participants of £10, with all proceeds going to Cool to be Kind, the project that Mark actively supported. The date of the run is Sunday 27th January, time TBA.

Brian McGovern says of Mark “I first met Mark in the late 80’s when I was immediately struck by his warmth and sense of fun. We remained friends ever since and would enjoy friendly banter together. He took to calling me “Brian Corbyn” not so long ago. Mark (“Blood” to me) was always keen to support my work with rough sleepers and always took part in ‘The Rucksack Project’. As a result, it fills me with joy to know that Mark would have been proud of you guys supporting a cause so close to his heart. I’m sure we all miss his smile, humour and warm nature. Thank you for taking part in this, and thank you Mark. 💓”
