Frazer lends a hand at Cool to be Kind’s weekly outreach group, ‘Warm Hearts for Cold Hands’. Every Wednesday evening, in front of Chelmsford library, the Chelmsford Rough Sleeper Support Group offers drinks, hygiene bags, and more to those in need. SREETFOOD provides hot meals, while Warm Hearts for Cold Hands supplies clothing and other essentials.

This past week, 56 people registered with Sanctus in Broomfield Road to receive food distributed by the outreach outside the library. Frazer was surprised to discover that some of the homeless were sleeping in cars. He remarked, “We’re just ordinary people trying to do our best to help, and the rough sleepers are also just ordinary people like us.” His role? Lifting heavy boxes and making tea!

Anyone interested in getting involved is welcome. Donations of clean clothes, especially men’s jeans (up to size 34″) and women’s jeans (size 6 – 12), and usable trainers are greatly appreciated. For more details  visit the group’s Facebook page or the Cool to be Kind website.
