We recently marked a memorable moment for Cool to be Kind having the honour of hosting the 843rd High Sheriff of Essex, Charles Bishop, and his wife Nellie.

The couple’s visit provided an opportunity for them to engage with our team and gain deeper insights into the impactful work we do.

The highlight of their visit was a special accolade awarded to our very own Helen Wilkerson. Recognised for her exceptional contributions to the community, Helen was awarded by the High Sheriff himself.

Dan Skeates, Co-Founder of Cool to be Kind, said: “Helen’s dedication to the Street Support Chelmsford project, among her other remarkable efforts, truly embodies the spirit of service and community support that we value here at Cool to be Kind.”

In addition to this celebration, we were also grateful to use office space generously provided by The Essex Community Foundation. This kind gesture greatly assisted in facilitating this event.

Charles added: “We were delighted to visit the team at Cool to be Kind. From a standing start only a few years ago they are making a real difference to the community. I was also pleased, as a trustee of Essex Community Foundation, to see the use of the Community Hub as office space.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the High Sheriff and The Essex Community.
